Biography

Lisa develops insights across CSIRO Futures’ science and technology domains toward trusted commercial strategies.

At CSIRO Futures, Lisa develops strategies for Australian industry in light of new, disruptive and innovative science and technology. She has a proven background in creating timely market, industry and technical intelligence that informs strategic business decisions and initiatives. In this capacity, she has worked with a diverse set of Australian industry sectors including food and agribusiness, health, medical technologies and pharmaceuticals, cyber security, and energy and resources, with both public and private clients.

Prior to joining the Futures team, Lisa was an Industry Researcher in CSIRO's Strategy, Market Vision and Innovation team.

Lisa began her career in a medical technology start-up before moving into research and consulting at the Australian Institute for Commercialisation (AIC). At the AIC, Lisa worked with research, enterprise and government organisations to help clients understand and assess potential market sizes for new products and innovations. More recently, she helped develop partnerships and commercial programs at the Queensland University of Technology’s Institute for Future Environments.

Her primary interests lie in helping science have real world impact. With her background in biotechnology and strategy, she is particularly interested in using human and plant-based biology to explore how quality of life can be improved through innovation.

Lisa has a Bachelor of Biotechnology Innovation (Hons.) and an MBA.
