Biography
Lauren is a IT advisor in Data Analytics & Visualization with previous experience in the Climate Science Center contributing to key project support and technical expertise in CSIRO climate modelling research.
From 2008-2016, Lauren focused on supporting the implementation of the CABLE land surface model in the ACCESS climate model and continued to help in 2016-2018 for CMIP6.
From late 2016, Lauren took on a climate modelling support role in the Decadal Climate Forecasting Project (DFP). These projects are of significant strategic value to CSIRO and have a very high level of national and international impact.
From late 2018, Lauren took on a new role in IM&T supporting the organization with their data visualization and analytical needs. She has gained experience in JavaScript and R-shiny, among others.
Lauren's goal is to pursue interests in promoting science and disseminate data/results; to utilize and continue to develop, expertise in data visualization for CSIRO.
