Dr Kevin Thomson

Currently facilitating collaborative research projects with industry through Innovation Connections - part of the Federal Government's Entrepreneurs' Programme. Innovation Connections offers advice and support to eligible companies regarding technology, knowledge and research needs. Grants of up to $100,000 (matched at least dollar for dollar by the company) are available to fund projects with CSIRO, universities and other research organisations.

With a background in materials engineering research, previous experience includes over 20 years in large and small manufacturing companies, with roles in R&D, engineering and management, covering a wide variety of technologies in industries including plastics, automotive, medical devices and recycling. This was followed by 10 years as an independent consultant and project manager, with senior roles in three start-up companies during this period
