Tim Wark leads Data61's Products, Program & Marketing function. Prior to taking on this role, he led CSIRO's cross-organisational program around new sensor platforms – a large, multi-disciplinary initiative focused on transforming data driven science. Tim joined CSIRO in 2004 and during the past 11 years has undertaken a range of research around sensing platform technologies in sectors such as agriculture, environment and health, holding various leadership and scientific roles during this period. He held a Visiting Scientist appointment at University of California Berkeley in 2009 and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School in 2010. Prior to joining CSIRO he worked for a number of years for the Research & Development arm of Canon in Australia. Tim is an Adjunct Professor at the Queensland University of Technology and is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
