Biography

Dr Benassi-Evans leads the CSIRO Clinic team, with fit for purpose clinics located in SAHMRI, South Australia and Westmead IQ, New South Wales. The Research Clinic has over 30 years experience in clinical trials and has dedicated specialist staff including clinical trial coordinators, registered nurses, project managers, laboratory technicians, as well as dedicated data and quality management personnel.

Bianca has over 15 years experience in clinical trial design, protocol development and implementation and management of clinical intervention studies, using physiological and cellular biomarkers. She provides oversight for a broad range of clinical studies, spanning from acute feeding trials to longer-term trials of up to two years or more, ranging from 20 to 400 participants and in various participant population groups. Studies include whole of diet interventions, incorporation of one or more test food/ingredient/investigational product into habitual diets, as well as notified TGA complementary medicine trials and community based trials in broader therapeutic areas.

Bianca is a Registered Nutritionist (Nutrition Society of Australia), has formal systematic review training (Joanna Briggs Institute, University of Adelaide) and training in Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) for Research Professionals training (Research Excellence Training, RXT). She is an accredited GCP Trainer (Sophie Mepham GCP, TransCelerate Biopharma approved).
