Dr James Bennett

James is part of CSIRO's water forecasting team, where he develops methods and numerical models to forecast streamflows from hours to months in advance. James has a particular interest in quantifying forecast uncertainty in ensemble streamflow forecasts. James translates these methods to operational systems through software and system development.

James is a co-chair of the HEPEX initiative and a member of the World Meteorological Organisation's (WMO) Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research and the WMO steering group on Integrated Prediction of Precipitation and Hydrology for Early Actions.
