Ms Kathryn Bastiaans

Kathryn Bastiaans is a Clinical Data Associate within the Clinical Trials Data Management Team for the CSIRO Clinical Research Unit, SAHMRI South Australia and Westmead Sydney. Kathryn incorporates her 21 years of experience in Clinical Research Coordination and Data Management to support the Clinic in achieving annual goals aligned with the CSIRO missions.

Kathryn has a broad experience in protocol development, data management plan development and implementation, clinical database design, eCRF and eSource design in REDCap, survey design, user acceptance testing, clinical trial monitoring and data cleaning. She provides data management support for a range of clinical studies, spanning from acute feeding trials to longer-term trials of up to two years or more, ranging from 20 to 400 participants and in various population groups. Studies include whole-of-diet interventions, incorporation of one or more test foods into habitual diets and also complementary medicine trials, notified with the TGA (CTN).
