Biography

A professional engineer with 19 years experience in the research/process engineering industry. The last 12 years, working with CSIRO, I have led a technology development and implementation programme, realising new technology being installed for pilot investigations in large scale industry and with learnings and improvements from those works taken up by technology providers for commercial use.
I have managed this technology development programme from idea generation, through to design, risk assessment/HAZOPs, construction, installation, commissioning and operational phases of the projects. Initial design and ongoing improvements to technologies focus on energy efficiency, environmental performance, product quality and capital cost reduction opportunities all while considering the OH&S requirements of CSIRO and our customers industrial sites. All projects I have led have required close collaboration with external project partners, external funding bodies, CSIRO senior management, and CSIRO staff by regularly providing key information to key stakeholders and leading quality and efficient meetings, to keep all parties motivated, engaged and on task. Understanding and applying good change management protocols have been critical to keeping projects on track when facing deviations in project delivery or plan and scope revisions of the projects.
I have developed into a strong leader with high levels of respect from staff and peers as well as clients and customers that I work with. I work with passion and enjoy being on the cutting edge of technology development and implementation.
