Biography
Jasmine is a Senior Economic Consultant at CSIRO Futures, the strategic advisory arm of Australia's national science agency. In this role, she conducts rigorous economic analysis of long-term trends and emerging technologies on the economy and key industries, with a focus on industry revenue and employment impacts, to support client strategy and decision-making.
While at CSIRO Futures, Jasmine has worked on several publications, including the:
* National Synthetic Biology Roadmap
* Unlocking the innovation potential of Australian companies report (produced in partnership with the Business Council of Australia)
* Quantifying Australia's returns to innovation working paper
* Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) series of projects
* Enabling mine closure and transitions report
* CSIRO Economic Outlooks
Jasmine holds a Master of Applied Economics and Econometrics, within which she led a joint CSIRO-Monash University project investigating impacts of innovation type and innovation collaboration on Australian firm performance using the ABS Business Longitudinal Analysis Data Environment (BLADE) microdata.
She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) & Bachelor of Arts (International Studies) from Monash University, and has completed a Study Abroad Programme at King's College London.
Prior to joining CSIRO, Jasmine gained experience in model building, data cleaning and manipulation in the Economic Modelling team at KPMG Australia. She also undertook a consulting internship at Grant Thornton Australia.
