Dr Edwards’ research has ranged from post-harvest physiology, to plant physiological ecology to management of horticultural crops, but has always focussed on plant-environment interactions. In particular, Dr Edwards has expertise in the interactive effects of climate change (elevated CO2, elevated temperature, extreme temperature events) on plant production and physiology; irrigation management and the impacts of soil water deficit on perennial horticultural crops (grapevine, almond); and crop management in viticulture.
