Biography
(Jennifer) Paige Eveson completed a BSc in Mathematics at the University of Victoria, Canada in 1994 and a MSc in Statistics at the University of British Columbia, Canada in 1996. Since that time, she has applied her skills to fisheries modelling, first concentrating on salmon while at the Pacific Biological Station in Nanaimo, British Columbia from 1996-2000, and subsequently on tuna at the CSIRO marine research laboratory in Hobart from 2000 until present. Her research has focused on analysing fish and fish-related data from a variety of sources (including conventional tag-recapture, electronic tag, aerial survey, commercial fishery, otolith chemistry, otolith ageing data, and most recently, genetic data) to estimate such quantities as growth, maturity, movement, habitat, abundance and mortality.
