Biography

Jonathan is a postdoctoral fellow in the Conservation Decisions Team. Jonathan’s interest is to build trusted and explainable artificial intelligence for environmental decisions. Artificial intelligence must have explainable capabilities so that users and experts can trust in solutions provided by artificial intelligence systems. His research involves decisions making under uncertainty to provide environmental solutions. Before that, Jonathan completed a PhD at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, in the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Group, Barcelona 2018, under the supervision of Dr. Hector Geffner. His thesis topic focused in the combination of task and motion planning. He coursed a Master in Intelligent Interactive Systems and before that he graduated in Computer Science.
