Biography

Elise is an experimental scientist working on research projects in the Atmospheric Composition and Chemistry (ACC) group in the Climate Science Centre of CSIRO Oceans & Atmosphere. She is part of a team making multi-decade atmospheric measurements of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and related trace gases. These high-quality datasets are vital to track and understand the rapid changes occurring in the composition of Earth’s atmosphere which are driving anthropogenic climate change. The data are used extensively in high-profile international studies, such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), amongst others.

Prior to joining CSIRO, Elise was based at the University of Wollongong, where she completed her PhD on volatile organic compounds in 2016, and then a post-doc working as part of the NESP's Clean Air and Urban Landscapes Hub.
