Biography
John has over 18 years experience working in the information technology industry, in the health, finance, resources and government sectors. John has a broad spectrum of experience in all aspects of the design, development and delivery of software.
John has significant experience in the field of health informatics, and has previously held positions within the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) and Australian Digital Health Agency where he made significant contributions to the design and implementation of both the My Health Record and the National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS).
John's current focus is on enabling the use of standards within health data analytics. John is the primary contributor to Pathling, which is a set of tools that make it easier to use clinical terminology and FHIR with Apache Spark.
