Biography

Working as a senior experimental scientist in Distributed Systems Security (DSS) Lab of CSIRO Data61, Dr Raj Gaire is passionate about delivering science excellence in the digital security domain to industries through collaboration and partnership for social, economic and environmental benefits of the society. He lead engineering innovations, project deliveries and multi-domain collaborations for data-driven innovation in Data61. He is the principal architect of several research prototypes including Data Airlock, buGFinder, Value Chain Analytics Platform (VCAP) Engine, Orchestrated Cyber Security Risk Assessment and Hardening (OCSRAH) and Smart Shield. He received Masters of IT and PhD from the University of Melbourne, Australia and Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His areas of interests include distributed systems, cyber security, semantic web technologies, data analytics, machine learning and system automation. Prior to joining CSIRO, Dr Gaire had worked in software, academic and research areas for more than 12 years.
