Dr David Henry is a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO based in Melbourne, and is Research Leader of the Digital Agriculture initiative within CSIROs Agriculture & Food Business Unit. His personal research interests have spanned pasture agronomy and animal nutrition, the application of proximal and remote sensing, livestock monitoring and control (virtual fencing), and how to capture value from new digital technologies such as sensors, the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence. His experience has taken him across the dairy, beef, sheep and mixed farming systems, and his current work has National reach and global significance.
