Biography
Filip Janakievski BSc BEng is a Senior Engineer at CSIRO Agriculture and Food with over 18 years of experience in process and product development for agrifood applications. Filip graduated from the University of Melbourne with a degree in Chemical Engineering and Science (majoring in Pharmacology). He has extensive experience in process development, scale up and translation of food technologies. As a senior process engineer he has led the development of novel concentration process known as forward osmosis and is building CSIRO’s capability in membrane filtration. He is one of the key members of the Food Program, and now provides knowledge and expertise in the design and operation of continuous separation (CSEP) chromatography and membrane filtration based separation processes for strategic internal projects and commercial projects in collaboration with domestic and international companies. He currently leads the food manufacturing Industry 4.0 workgroup and is a member of the circular economy team.
