Biography

Jacek undertook his PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2003 under the supervision of Prof. Paul Mulvaney in the area of synthesis and application of II-VI semiconductor nanocrystals. He completed this work in 2008 and was awarded the Chancellor's prize for his effort. Jacek then moved to CSIRO to undertake an OCE funded postdoctoral positionunder the supervision of Dr. Ezio Rizzardo and Dr. Scott Watkins on the development of solution-processed nanocrystalline solar cells. In 2010 he was awarded an Australian Research Council postdoctoral fellowship to continue my work at CSIRO. In mid 2011, he undertook a Fulbright fellowship that was assisted by an Australian Solar Institute Research Exchange fellowship to work in Nobel Laureate Prof. Alan Heeger's lab in the US. He returned to CSIRO in mid 2012 to develop the research area focussed on solution processed inorganic optoelectronics. In 2014 he became the Group Leader of Agile Manufacturing within the Industrial Innovation Program, where he is focussed on working with various teams to deliver innovation to improve efficiency, productivity and performance across Australia's manufacturing sector.
