I am joining CSIRO after more than 7 years with the International Food Policy Research Institute, where I worked primarily on Partial Equilibrium Modeling, and Scenario Analysis around issues of climate change and food security. Prior to IFPRI, I assisted with research at the U.S. International Trade Commission around obstacles to SMEs accessing export markets. At the University of Nebraska I contributed to work attempting to assess the impacts of biofuels on food availability and prices. I am also a returned Peace Corps volunteer, having served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Eastern Bolivia from 2005 to 2007.

I graduated with a Masters in International Development and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in 2010, and did my undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska's Raikes School of Computer Science and Business Management, where I studied international business and computer science.

I speak Spanish fluently, and at one point in time I was proficient in French. With limited recent practice unfortunately my French is quite rusty.
