Biography

Ryan is a behavioural economist who works on problems that require cooperation to solve, and how adaptation re-distributes economic winners and losers. His focus is on growing Australian food exports through biosecurity controls for better agricultural export market access, and biosecurity agritech.

Previously Ryan has worked on managing for climate in the Australian rangelands, and extensively in urbanised, coastal communities. Before joining CSIRO he worked in statistical roles with the Australian and British governments, and within the telecommunications sector.
