Biography

Sue McIntyre is a former Senior Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems, Canberra. She completed her undergraduate and PhD studies at the Botany School, University of Melbourne, was an ARC post-doctoral fellow at the University of New England and worked for 20 years at CSIRO. She has published extensively on the management of native vegetation in production landscapes, and has contributed to our thinking on landscape design, land use thresholds and the effects of disturbance, including grazing on vegetation. She has researched grassland and woodland management in Europe and in eastern Australia, ranging from the tropics to the temperate zone. She is currently a fellow at the Fenner School ANU and at CSIRO at Black Mountain.
