Biography

Devita has tertiary and post-graduate qualifications in Law, Science and Business (MBA). She is a graduate of the AICD and an experienced governance professional.

Before joining CSIRO she specialised in intellectual property law in private practice in Melbourne and Sydney where she worked on several leading authority IP cases. She has authored over 20 publications on various intellectual property topics including a paper on copyright law which was awarded the 2009 IPSANZ prize.

She then moved to Defence Science Technology Group where she held various leadership roles in IP, commercialisation and technology transfer and stakeholder engagement over a career spanning a decade. Her most recent role was overseeing DSTG's relationships with all of its industry, academic and other government partners across Australia.

At CSIRO she is the Director Business Development and Global, leading a national team that supports the Manufacturing Division with commercialisation of its technology with external partners to achieve outcomes and capability.
