Biography

Prasad leads Risk and Preparedness group, based at Australian Centre for Disease Preparedness, which is focussed on infectious disease threats to Australia. The program's translational research spans zoonotic diseases such as highly pathogenic viruses as well as vector-borne diseases.

Prasad is a vector biologist with strong expertise in virology and genomics. His research is focussed on vector-borne diseases, wherein he applies his expertise to understand drivers of disease transmission, improve surveillance and to design novel intervention strategies.
