Biography
Malcolm Riley BSc DipNutrDiet, PhD is a nutrition scientist with a background in epidemiology/public health.
He is an expert in quantitative population health analysis, and dietary intake methodology for large scale use. Malcolm has contributed to over 60 peer-reviewed publications (H-index 20) mainly relating to diet-disease relationships and has accepted project funding from government, non-government and industry sources.
Malcolm has experience in tertiary education, food industry, food policy and regulation, and community development. He has worked directly for universities, research institutes, Dairy Australia and the government science agency. He has consulted for the World Health Organisation, and worked on contracts for AusAid, state and federal governments, large and small food manufacturers, retailers and service providers.
Malcolm has worked in Brunei, Kenya, Mauritius, Sharjah and Tanzania, and many centres in Australia. He has a strong interest in improving the health of populations.
He is an Honorary Life Member Nutrition Australia, and a past president of the Nutrition Society of Australia.
