Biography
Joel is a Principal Research Scientist at CSIRO. His research interests relate to the experimental and theoretical aspects of rock physics, geomechanics and geophysics, e.g., fluid/rock interactions, anisotropy, micro-mechanics, poroelasticity and its extensions, frequency effects, shales, micro-seismicity.
He applies his expertise to multiple industry- and government-funded research projects in the Energy Sector, e.g., CO2 Geo-sequestration, Underground Hydrogen Storage, Oil & Gas Exploration and Production, Induced/Triggered seismicity due to anthropogenic subsurface operations.
