Biography

Dr Xavier Sirault is an accomplished leader in the fields of science and operations, renowned for his unwavering commitment to advancing AgTech research and utilising innovative technologies, such as AI, robotics, and data-driven platforms, to revolutionise sustainability, efficiency, and profitability within the Ag&Food sector. His visionary work is dedicated to spearheading the development of more sustainable and secure food systems for the future.

Currently, serving as a Science leader in CSIRO Ag&Food, Dr Sirault is at the forefront of new research areas aligned with the CSIRO Future Protein Mission. By leading the development of an AI/ML infrastructure, he is driving innovation in the plant-based protein ingredient market, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create new ingredients and solutions that meet the growing demand for sustainable, high-quality plant-based products in Australia and worldwide. Furthermore, his involvement in a new venture proto-company called Pro-X Ingredients that will manufacture and supply ingredients with tailored techno-functionality to the CPG industry, is showcasing his visionary business strategy, passion for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.

Other Interests

Outside of his role in CSIRO, Dr Sirault has a range of diverse interests. He is an avid scuba diver, and his love for nature and the environment is evident in his passion for sustainable truffle cultivation. As a truffle grower on his company farm in Bungendore, he is committed to producing truffles that are not only delectable but also sustainably cultivated. His goal is to be a reliable source of premium truffles and to share his knowledge and expertise with others who appreciate fine dining.

Dr Xavier Sirault has a deep passion for learning and self-improvement, and his interest in Stoic philosophy is just one manifestation of this. He is an avid reader and is constantly seeking to expand his knowledge in a wide range of subjects. His thirst for knowledge is not limited to his academic and professional pursuits.
