Biography

Dr Trinchi is the leader of CSIRO's Active Materials Team, which develops advanced, multi-functional and nanostructured materials. These are being deployed to solve key challenges in national priority areas, including: environmentally friendly processes for upcycling problematic waste streams; advanced chemical sensor technologies; and for embedding functionality into additive manufactured (3D printed) parts (unique identifiers, structural enhancements, biocompatibility and sensing). With over 100 scientific publications, he is recognised internationally as an expert in functional materials and sensor technology.
