Biography
Santosh Aryal is a surface water hydrologist with over 25 years of experience in hydrology and water resources with a strong research focus on drought and low-flow hydrology across Australia.
Santosh's key contributions are in:
o Evaluation of streamflow behaviour due to climate and other changes in the Murray-Darling
Basin.
o Low flow modelling, and drought propagation behaviour across Australia.
o Bioregional Assessment (lead surface water hydrologist: Northern Inland Catchments, NSW).
o Pilbara Water Resources Assessment in Western Australia.
o Southwest Western Australian Sustainable Yields.
o Effect of urbanisation on water resources in Southeast Queensland.
o An independent review of water resources policies of a NRM agency in South Australia.
Santosh has published several research papers in high-quality international water and hydrology journals.
