Biography

Sharon has more than 20 years experience in the design and management of research and development programming within civil society organisations in the Asia Pacific region. Sharon is also has 3 years experience working with DFAT to strengthen development programming design and implementation in the Pacific region, and engaging with a broad range of diplomatic and donor partners. Sharon has strong motivation and competencies in the fields of strategic planning and change management, program/ project design; building strong two way partnerships; donor and grant management; emergency response management; disaster preparedness and mitigation; gender equality; food security and systems; advocacy and mobilisation; monitoring, evaluation and learning; partnership development; communication; and team management.

Current Roles

  • Agriculture Development Specialist - Climate Resilient Agriculture Food Security Section, DFAT
    Assist DFAT with scoping and design of climate-resilient agriculture research for development activities in the Pacific with a particular focus on understanding Pacific partner’s priorities;

  • Vanuatu Pilot Lead - Pacific Agri-Food Futures
    Lead scoping and implementation of a Vanuatu pilot under Pacific Agri-Food Futures.

  • Pacific Vision for Adapted Crops and Soils TA Support Project Lead
    Lead on the management and delivery of a DFAT grant agreement to CSIRO and BOM to support the Pacific Community to implement the Pacific vision for Adapted Crops and Soils initiative
