Biography
Rhea brings curiosity and a breadth of experiences in different fields to her role as a facilitator for the CSIRO Kick Start program and is based in Sydney NSW.
She studied biochemistry in Germany and completed a PhD in immunology and cell biology at UNSW, Sydney. After graduation she changed into life science reagent and equipment sales for several years. To try something new she went back to the lab as a technician at Western Sydney University Next-Gen Sequencing Centre and then joined and eventually lead a team at a start-up semi-conductor company to develop a biosensor.
As CSIRO Kick-Start facilitator Rhea is helping CSIRO researchers to form productive partnerships with small businesses to develop new products, methods and awesomeness.
