Biography
My area of research is at the intersection of climate and agricultural sciences with a particular interest in providing analyses that improve climate change related decisions in the primary industries. A key focus is on understanding biological responses in primary industries to weather and climate in combination with the influence of management strategies.
I have researched various facets of climate risk and Australia's primary industries including evaluating factors that contribute to the establishment of invasive marine pests, phenology modelling in temperate tree crops and rice, climate change impacts and adaptation options for temperate perennial fruit and evaluated the potential economic value of seasonal climate forecasts to the Australian agricultural sector. I'm currently the lead agri-climate scientist for the My Climate View tool (https://myclimateview.com.au/)
