Biography

Ali is an award-winning communicator working with Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO.

Her work has been published by the BBC, New York Post, IFLScience and LeMonde. She works with TV, radio, print and online media to ensure her client’s stories are heard and understood.

Highlights of Ali’s career include leading one of CSIRO’s biggest ever campaigns - a story about the antimicrobial properties of platypus milk that reached an audience of hundreds of millions world-wide; being part of a small team that won Golden Quill, PRWeek and Asia Pacific Excellence Awards for achievements in Public Relations and Media Relations for a biosecurity campaign promoting bees with backpacks technology; and more recently, working closely with CSIRO researchers to promote their contribution to Australia’s COVID-19 response.

Ali is currently supporting the communications for CSIRO’s Manufacturing business unit. She also leads the communications for CSIRO’s Quantum Technologies Future Science Platform.
