Biography
I completed an undergraduate degree in Astrophysics at Cardiff University in Wales, before working a year in industry with the Computer Science Corporation and then undertaking a PhD at Jodrell Bank Observatory, University of Manchester. On completion of my PhD I came to Australia to undertake a postdoctoral research fellowship in Galactic Astronomy, then became a Bolton Fellow before briefly taking up an Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Award. I then returned to the UK to work for the Square Kilometre Array Organisation (back at Jodrell Bank Observatory) for two and a half years. I then returned to CSIRO as the Parkes Senior Systems Scientist and have been a CSIRO Space and Astronomy Group Leader since 2017.
