Biography
Derek has been a software engineer since graduating from the University of Queensland in 1992. During the technology boom in the 2000s, Derek was a part of several startup companies, including Astracon and Wedgetail Communications. 2004 saw a move into the research environment, beginning with the Distributed Systems Technology Centre CRC and then moving to CSIRO, where he has been for over 15 years.
