Mrs Sowmya Injeti

Sowmya Injeti is a research translation and product delivery leader with deep experience bridging science, engineering, design and real-world impact. As Research Director, Engineering & Design at CSIRO Technology, she leads multidisciplinary teams that turn research ambition into scalable products, platforms and adoption pathways. Her work spans human-centred AI, spatial digital twins, climate intelligence, robotics, digital science infrastructure and research commercialisation.
Sowmya is recognised for building strong translation capability across complex programs, shaping problems early, aligning science with market and user needs, and creating the conditions for sustained impact. She brings a strategic, systems-level approach to research translation, combining product thinking, engineering excellence, stakeholder engagement and culture-building to help science move from idea to adoption.
