Biography

Genevieve is a Research Dietitian and Accredited Practising Dietitian in the CSIRO Nutrition & Health Program.

In her role, Genevieve contributes to a wide range of nutrition research projects with a public health focus and translates the scientific findings into information, resources and programs to make healthier food choices more accessible and desirable for all Australians.

Examples of Genevieve’s work include:
• Developing and evaluating public health initiatives, such as Healthy Kids Menu - a South Australian Government initiative to deliver healthy dining options for children,
• Translating research findings into programs, such as VegEze - an App to help boost vegetable intake,
• Reviewing scientific literature to substantiate health claims for food labels,
• Developing and implementing dietary protocols for clinical trials – such as Flexi – a comprehensive meal replacement weight loss program,
• Co-author of the CSIRO Protein Plus Nutrition and Exercise Plan- an update on the latest dietary protein science and a simple guide on how to incorporate animal and plant-based proteins into a healthy diet.
