Biography
I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian and PhD student at Deakin University within the Global Centre for Preventive Health and Nutrition (GLOBE), with CSIRO as a partner organisation. My research focuses on strengthening the accountability of food companies for their nutrition, health, and environmental impacts through coherent government policies.
Prior to commencing my PhD, I spent over a decade as a Research Dietitian in the Human Health Program at CSIRO, contributing to a wide range of research activities including clinical trials, evidence synthesis, data analysis, program development and evaluation, science communication, and project management. During this time, I developed a strong interest in food regulation and policy, particularly at the intersection of diet and environmental sustainability.
I am passionate about the role of policy and regulation in shaping food environments that support healthy and sustainable choices and in ensuring that food companies are held accountable for the impacts of the products they manufacture and sell.
