Biography
May Liak leads CSIRO’s relationship with India, building strategic research and collaboration partnerships that create impact for our shared national priorities. This includes collaborating with researchers across CSIRO’s ten science business units and overseeing the design and implementation of the India Australia Rapid Innovation and Startup Expansion (RISE) Accelerator - an Australian Government India Economic Strategy initiative.
May has over 12 years’ experience in international partnerships and programs, working closely with governments and institutions across the Indo-Pacific to develop partnerships and programs that strengthen and progress the strategic interests of the governments of Australia.
May has acquired the skills, knowledge and an awareness of cross-cultural and potentially sensitive issues required to lead international partnerships and programs, demonstrated while assuming various positions across the public sector, education and health. May has a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Technology, Sydney.
