Miss Erin McClure

Erin is a Senior Strategy Consultant on the CSIRO Futures team, with expertise in low-emissions technology assessment and RD&D strategy across Australia’s energy, resources, and food sectors. She is interested in the role that science, technology and novel solutions can play in solving complex challenges and in unlocking valuable opportunities, whether at a local, national or global level. She is passionate about uncovering the insights of industry, research, government and community leaders, and distilling these into impactful evidence-based findings that support strategic objectives and lead to actionable change.

Erin has contributed to national studies on green metals, hydrogen supply and demand, CO₂ utilisation, and technology adoption across a diversity of Australia’s economic sectors, including through The State of Energy Transition Technologies – a national study evaluating RD&D priorities across electricity, fuels, industry, transport, and carbon management systems.
She has worked across projects spanning a wide analytical scope, from stakeholder-driven assessments with large consultation and engagement phases, to analyses interpreting multi-sector and economic modelling, and projects requiring detailed understanding of technical complexities to identify appropriate technological solutions.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry & Biochemistry) and a Bachelor of Global Studies (International Relations).
