Miss Madeleine Thoms

Madeleine currently works across two programs for SME's, Generation STEM Links and Kick-Start.

In her role in Generation STEM Links, she works extensively with CSIRO's education team to connect undergraduate students with SMEs through meaningful placement opportunities. Madeleine supports the end-to-end process including business development, project development, internship facilitation and placement finalisation and reporting. She has also been involved a team leadership position supporting the launch of the NSW Skills for Net Zero initiative.

Madeleine has also joined the Kick-Start team part time, working to help start-ups and small businesses overcome barriers to pursue R&D activities.

She draws on experience managing multi‑program teams in the pharmaceutical sale sector and now focuses on building practical partnerships that help early‑career talent and SMEs thrive. She holds a BSc (Pathology) from UNSW and a Diploma of Aviation (CPL) from the Qantas Academy. She is also a Mental Health First Aid Officer.
