Biography
Dr. Vernstrom is originally from Minnesota. She studied astrophysics at the University of Minnesota before moving onto Vancouver Canada to do her PhD at the University of British Columbia. She has worked on the extragalactic radio background, deep radio surveys, astrostatistics, the radio cosmic web and cosmic magnetism.
Currently she is the Project Scientist for the ASKAP EMU survey, http://emu-survey.org, and the Project Scientist for the LAMBDA project, https://www.atnf.csiro.au/projects/LAMBDA.html. She is also the co-chair of the Magnetism Science Working Group for the SKA.
