Dr Aysha Fleming is a social scientist (sociologist) based in Hobart, Tasmania. Dr Fleming brings an academic background in adult education, social research in agriculture, communication of climate change and rural sociology. She is particularly interested in language and engaging rural communities with learning and change and in social transformations for sustainability. She is currently working on projects to do with digital agriculture, including social indicators in sustainability for fisheries, and how we can increase the numbers of trees on farms for multiple benefits. She has previously worked on climate change in the wine industry and in marine supply chains, perceptions of the sustainable development goals and digital technology and ageing.

Other Interests

Dr Aysha Fleming is also interested in social license, food security, climate change and social dimensions of agriculture and agricultural supply chains.
