Biography

David is a geophysicist who specialises in the forward modelling, analysis and interpretation of electromagnetic prospecting data. He has alternated between industry and academia since the early 1990’s, and has degrees from The University of Sydney and Macquarie University.

In his current role with CSIRO, he studies the application of electromagnetics to conventional and non-conventional targets and is interested in applications of Bayesian philosophies to geophysical interpretation.

He is a Past President of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG) and a member of the European Association of Exploration Geophysicists (EAGE), and the Association of Computing Machinery Fortran Special Interest Group.
