Biography

I thrive addressing complex and significant problems which allow me to apply my skills in critical thinking, research design, and people management and use my creativity, determination and empathy to have visible, real-world impact.

I am keen to use my knowledge of survey and study design, data analysis, and behaviour in a variety of applications and am passionate about the translation of scientific knowledge. I believe in the value of excellent science and the power of diversity to solve real world problems. I have worked mostly with external clients and enjoy the insight, application and pace that industry can provide us.

Currently, I bring my understanding of behavioural science and experience to a variety of interdisciplinary projects investigating or promoting healthy lifestyles. I am interested in novel technologies and how these can be best utilised to collect real-time data and deliver wider-reaching, behaviourally-based interventions. I have vast experience in project management which I can apply to a variety of areas, including randomised controlled trials. Recently, I was Director of the multi-million dollar Precision Health Platform and oversaw successful delivery of key projects across CSIRO.

Before I retire, I would like to have insight into how to meaningfully and sustainably change positive human behaviours.
