Biography

Dr. Anthony Chesman is the Research Director of the Devices and Engineered Systems Program in CSIRO Manufacturing and the Quantum Technologies Program of Research Leader.

Dr Chesman joined CSIRO in 2011 as an OCE Postdoctoral Fellow and also held a Discovery Early Career Research Award in the area of solar cell research before becoming a Research Scientist in 2014. Dr Chesman has held the roles of Team Leader and Group Leader overseeing the development of technologies spanning renewable energy (batteries and flexible PV) and nanomaterials. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, as a Principal Research Scientist Dr Chesman is currently contributing to the development of nitrogen vacancy diamond (NVD)-based quantum sensors for chemical analysis, with a focus on environmental and health applications.
