Biography
Chunlin is currently a Principle Research Scientist leading the development and application of the thermodynamic package Multi-Phase Equilibrium(MPE), which has been widely used by researchers and plant metallurgists in non-ferrous smelting, ironmaking & steelmaking and other high temperature processes.
Chunlin has 30 years R and D experience in high temperature processing of minerals and materials, with particular application to the pyrometallurgical production and refining of metals. His interests include chemical equilibria, reaction kinetics and mechanisms. His research interests cover:
• The development of thermodynamic models/databases, and their use in MPE to predict phase
equilibria and thermodynamic properties in molten melts.
• Non-ferrous smelting, iron & steelmaking and ewaste recycling with particular focus on the minor
elements/impurities partitioning behaviour.
• Reaction kinetics and mechanisms in metal and materials processing, smelting and refining.
