Biography

I am an animal behaviour scientist with interests in how livestock adapt and respond to different housing environments. I have particular interests in the impact of their rearing environments. I work with laying hens, cattle, and sheep. My current projects focus on virtual fencing technology for beef cattle and understanding free-range layer behaviour through the use of radio-frequency identification technology. I conduct assessments to understand behaviour, welfare, physiology, cognition, and affective states.
