Biography
Régine began her career as a design engineer developing power MOSFETS for a global semiconductor manufacturer near Manchester, UK. In this fast-paced R&D environment, she gained experience in Project Management and Product Development.
In Australia, Régine spent 10 years managing CSIRO’s Flexible Electronics Laboratories and overseeing the logistics of this complex experimental facility. She also led industry project developing a solar roofing prototype. She is the project leader for CSIRO’s contribution to the ARENA-funded, Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP). She currently leads the Automation and Sensing team in CSIRO Manufacturing, who supports science breakthroughs with robotic, digital and prototyping expertise.
With an electronics engineering background, Régine has an interest in design, innovation and contributes to research activities in the prototyping area. She is an advocate for STEM education and loves sharing her passion for electronics, physics, engineering, and bees.
Régine received her Diplôme d'Ingénieur in INPG (now known as Phelma), Grenoble, France and MSc from Heriot Watt University, UK, with her studies also taking her to Mexico. She speaks French, English, Spanish and Créole in her hometown of Martinique.
