Biography
My veterinary profession began with companion animal medicine and surgery for 12 years. Then a change in track to fish pathology and aquatic animal health diagnostic laboratory work. For 4 years in Hong Kong, I worked for the Hong Kong Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, then near 17 years with Biosecurity Queensland working in disease surveillance and extension. Currently I am based with CSIRO Aquaculture Research, as a Veterinary Aquatic Pathologist, supporting research projects with histopathology and veterinary sciences. New horizonal expertise is focused on developing tools to mitigate and solve environmental health and stress pressures on aquaculture systems by enabling accurate ecotoxicology assessments and prevention for fish and shellfish farming.
