Biography
I have 10+ years’ experience in working with Australian food manufacturers and retailers, and understanding the Australian food supply. Highly skilled in food and nutrition data analytics, I have been extensively involved in two key front-of-pack labelling initiatives in Australia – the Heart Foundation Tick Program, and the Health Star Rating system. In addition I have also been part of several key industry reformulation initiatives including the Federal Government’s Food and Health Dialogue and the Healthy Food Partnership’s Reformulation Working Group.
One of my key roles at CSIRO is to manage the FoodTrack database - one of Australia’s largest branded food and nutrient databases containing data on products sold in Australian supermarkets. I have a keen interest in working with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds such FMCG, retailers, key opinion leaders and health professionals within industry, government, universities, and other relevant areas, to improve the quality of the Australian food supply.
