Biography
Cara undertook her PhD studies in Physical Chemistry at the University of Melbourne, developing porous electrode materials for high power lithium-ion batteries. She is presently a materials research scientist at CSIRO Manufacturing. Her current research efforts are to develop cutting-edge materials used for the benefit of the environment including sensors for toxic water systems, energy storage devices and membranes for fuel cells. Cara is working on her ARC DECRA project focusing on developing MOF encapsulated biomolecules for sensing devices and is working toward commercializing the patented technology.
